Late Traveller and facilitator looking forward to sharing my travel journey as I backpack around South East Asia and maybe the world.

What’s my Camera?

I was given a gift or rather collection from the Business Centre I left back in Feb 2018 which amounted to quite a large amount of money (many thanks to all at Lenton for this very kind gift)
So I purchased probably the most expensive item I am taking with me which is a Nikon Camera and a few add-ons to it.
Hopefully, you will see the quality of photos once I start taking them, or rather figure out how to use it!

What travel equipment am I taking with me

So I thought I would list what I am taking on this trip, bearing in mind I am backpacking through many countries so I have gone for lightweight stuff to easily carry in my backpack. I must point out that these are my choices based upon my own preference and research and I will update you as I travel and use the equipment on whether its good, relevant or lacking in some way.

Main Items

Rucksack

Osprey Men’s Farpoint 70 Travel Pack, Jasper Red, Medium/Large [amazon_link asins=’B014EBKVPE’ template=’ProductAd’ store=’httpwwwfahdes-21′ marketplace=’UK’ link_id=’31f7203d-a561-11e8-8104-07b5a76ca274′]

I spent quite a bit of time online and visiting travel shops to find the one I felt most comfortable with. If you go to YouTube and search osprey you can watch many people packing them and showing you the pros and cons of each size. I chose the red colour as I noticed at airport carousels more are black or grey than any other colour, so I figured it would work out easier to find mine.

Sleeping Bag

Because I am staying in Hostels to keep the cost of travelling down I needed a good but lightweight sleeping BagAfter again lots of searching I opted for the following
Snugpak 1 Season Travelpak Sleeping Bag available at Gapyeartravel.com

Why I am doing this?

Well.. where to start, basically this is for me to appreciate life and this world of ours, before its too late.

To the many people who thought I would never do it, because I was too addicted to working and never made time for myself, well guess what I have🤣

I know if I leave it any later in life it will be too late.

So the plan is to return to South East Asia and explore more of where I have been for the last couple of holidays and to see how it is backpacking across the country.

Living in hostels and trying to work whilst abroad to earn my keep and allow me to stay as long as I can.

The purpose of this website?

To make an online diary of what I do.

Mainly for me to look back on when I am too old to remember

Already at 47, I am starting to forget that I visited a place on holiday or when I did and with whom. I don’t think I am going senile just yet.. but you never know. 😉

Its also to let family and friends back home see what I am experiencing and lastly to hopefully inspire more of our older generation to be brave enough to try it.

The name of the site

Nos short for Nomad Opportunities, Solved!

I will try and find opportunities for people to travel, whether on a budget or not

ME because it’s about my experiences travelling and the UK because that is where I am from.

Hope you enjoy
